Pierce Parts and Service has been in business for 35 years serving the Commercial Appliance, Refrigeration, and HVAC Industry. Our company represents over 62 manufacturers as their authorized warranty agency. Pierce Parts and Service serves as the parts depot for all of our commercial appliance, refrigeration and HVAC Technician manufacturers. Our company has 5 locations in Georgia. Our corporate office is in Macon, GA. Our first branch is in Atlanta, GA and our second branch is in Valdosta, GA.

Pierce Parts and Service is currently looking for commercial appliance, refrigeration, and HVAC Technician that will be responsible for servicing appliances including refrigerators within 100 miles of Valdosta, GA. The primary focuses of the commercial appliance, refrigeration, and HVAC Technician include:
  • Demonstrating exceptional customer service by traveling to the site (when applicable) in which the order is placed
  • Installing and servicing commercial restaurant equipment (including HVAC)
  • Analysis of issues described by the customers
  • Completion of required client paperwork
As a commercial appliance, refrigeration, and HVAC technician, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Following wiring diagrams and manufacturers specifications
  • Connecting appliance to power source and testing meters, such as watt meter, ammeter, or voltmeter
  • Observing readings on meters and graphic recorders
  • Examining appliance during operating cyble to detect excess vibration, overheating, fluid leaks, and loose parts
  • Disassembling appliances and examining mechanical and electrical parts
  • Tracing electrical circuits, following diagram and locating shorts and grounds using ohmmeter
  • Calibrating timers and thermostats and adjusting contact points
  • Cleaning and washing commercial appliances, refrigeration, and HVAC parts, using wire brush, buffer, and solvent to remove carbon, grease, and dust
  • Replacing worn or defective parts, such as switches, pumps, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, blowers, and defective wiring
  • Repairing and adjusting appliance motors
  • Reassembling commercial appliances, refrigerators, and/or HVAC, adjusting pulleys, and lubricating moving parts, using hand tools and lubricating equipment

The qualified Technician candidate must possess:
  • High School diploma
  • Minimum of two years experience in the commercial appliance field or refrigeration industry (other related experience will be considered)
  • EPA Certification
  • Must complete qualifying test and pass a drug test
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to read wire diagrams
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds
  • Personal hand tools
  • Willingness to drive out of the Macon office within a 100 mile radius of the office
  • Willingness to work 40 hours/week and on call 24/7 for one (1) week out of the month
  • Ability to apply Commercial Appliance, Refrigeration, and HVAC knowledge to mechanical, electrical, or technical service problems
  • Ability to apply communication skills to customer needs
An exceptional Technician candidate must possess all of the above requirements including the following preferred prerequisites:
  • CFESA Certification
