Nurse Practitioner needed in the Lone Star State just minutes from a recreation hot spot known world-wide for its sport fishing and sail boating. Community is a thriving center of arts, full of vibrant churches of all denominations, and home to a downtown that leads most to recall the times of yesterday. A short hour drive into Dallas adds a taste of the big city as well.
Provider will be under the supervision of a physician providing primary health care services as a member of a health care team. Individual will be supporting the hospitalists and will not be doing any procedures. The assignment will run until October 1st and the shift is 9 AM - 6 PM Monday through Friday.
Provider must have analytical ability to evaluate the condition of the patient based on data from the medical record, to develop patient care plans, and initiate or change orders based on changing patient condition and/or a physician approved protocol. Effective verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic are required. Adult acute inpatient experience in a hospital is also required.
