We are currently seeking talented Director Modeling Analytics for our San Antonio, TX facility.
PURPOSE OF JOB
Responsible for shaping the predictive modeling strategy to ensure projects and information delivered support business initiatives. Collaborates on analytical best practices with business, peers, and other Enterprise stakeholders. Provides leadership and direction to the design, development, and implementation of predictive modeling solutions.
Builds and manages a strong modeling analytics team. Establishes performance objectives and provides ongoing feedback and coaching. Maintains high team morale. Develops team reputation as highly skilled experts in the area of predictive modeling.
Oversees and coordinates analytical tasks which include evaluation of business problem, selection of appropriate modeling methodology and predictive data elements, construction and operationalization of modeling solutions, as well as documentation and presentation of findings and recommendations.
Researches new internal and external data sources. Participates in the negotiation and management of contracts associated with external data.
Monitors and understands emerging technology that can affect modeling and potential business risk.
Develops and provides subject matter expertise on the current and emerging predictive modeling techniques for various areas within the financial services industry. Delivers insight to senior leadership.
Provides input on strategies and initiatives, such as price elasticity of demand, credit scoring, loss forecasting and member lifetime value based on quantitative results. Assesses the potential member and business impact from changes in strategy resulting from predictive modeling.
Manages the execution of modeling projects to enable recommended solutions.
Coordinates with legal counsel to ensure regulatory compliance regarding model design and the acquisition and usage of data for segmentation and modeling purposes. Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in Econometrics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Actuarial Sciences or a related field.
7+ years related data modeling, quantitative, analytical, or actuarial work experience.
3+ years managerial experience or experience working with cross-functional teams in a leadership capacity.
Proficiency in key econometric and statistical techniques (predictive modeling, logistic regression, survival analysis, design of experiments, decision trees, data mining methods, and other advanced statistical and econometric techniques). Preferred
10+ years experience with model development and forecasting.
2+ years developing model governance framework. ***Selected candidates will attend and complete the Management Development School program in San Antonio, TX, during their first six months in position.***
