Swisslog's Warehouse Distribution Solution's division is searching for a qualified individual who will perform the role of Technical Support Engineer. The qualified individual will support, maintain, repair, and upgrade installed system customer base, identify system faults and make necessary corrections to minimize system downtime, provide instruction and guidance on preventative maintenance of High Rise Stacker Cranes, Roller and Conveyor Systems, perform services required by customer on periodic basis, troubleshoot system interface hardware and provide necessary maintenance and diagnose PLCs, coding, computer software and hardware and mechanical equipment.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a technical service environment inclusive of strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
Computer literate in all MS Office products, SQL experience a plus
Must be highly articulate, proactive and self-motivated; excellent written and verbal communication; demonstrated presentation skills
Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Technical writing experience in documenting technical data/information
Ability to troubleshoot systems down to component level
General knowledge of products, applications and experience in controls technology, experience in the warehouse or factory automation industry a plus
Proven track record in a fast-paced, demanding environment, with the ability to be flexible and adapt well to change.
Desirable but not Essential:
3-5 years as part of a service team preferred
Experience with Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley or Rockwell PLC programming
Experience with warehouse or factory automation sub-system operations and maintenance
Experience in database concepts and SQL programming
