Senior Corporate Financial Analyst
The qualified candidate will 1) bring experience in finance within a Fortune 500 company or within an investment bank; 2) possess exceptionally strong analytical thought processes and problem-solving skills; 3) demonstrated ability to take initiative and exhibit intellectual curiosity; 4) exhibit a strong attention to detail; 5) possess excellent leadership and communication skills and 6) approach this position with a thoughtful and analytical framework. The qualified candidate will demonstrate the ability to succeed in this role and, equally as important, the potential to grow with the company and take on greater responsibilities in the future. The position will be based at RockTenn’s corporate headquarters in Norcross, GA and will report to the Director, Corporate Finance.
Participation in corporate finance, treasury and finance projects as needed
Preparing Board presentations and communications for Management as needed
Day to day management of pension plans
Working with actuaries, investment advisors and custodian on various analyses related to pension plans
Leading and assisting with potential pension and 401-k projects
Working closely with Accounting and Financial Planning and Analysis on content for the 10-K, the budget, forecasts and other analyses
Bachelors degree in finance, economics or accounting - MBA, CFA a plus;
Approximately 5 to 7 years of corporate finance experience at either the Fortune 500 level or within an investment bank
Strong analytical, problem-solving and modeling skills;
Significant attention to detail;
Demonstrated ability to employ data-based decision making in daily process;
Strong team player;
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal; and
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
