National Tax Search, LLC Chicago, IL
NTS has a 6 month contract-to-hire opportunity for a full-time UX Designer. Your work will directly impact the productivity of our employees and the satisfaction of our clients. We would like someone with strong usability, visual design, and browser scripting skills.
We are developing web applications that enable users to work with a lot of data and workflows that require multiple steps, and we would like to implement consistent, intelligently designed tools to make the work as simple and intuitive as possible. Often, a page may require a lot of data to be onscreen at once--we would like to leverage your strength in applying design principles like progressive disclosure, layering of complex information, organizing data by the Five Hat Racks principle, etc. We are not looking for just a UI designer--we need you to have insight into intelligently designed user experiences for data-heavy business users.
What You Would Do
Establish consistent UI/UX features across our products
Work closely with development team and business analysts
A bit of graphic design work, as needed
Skills & Requirements
Strong understanding of designing UI experiences to make humans productive and efficient
Experience with prototyping and leveraging value from feedback
Experience with Visual Studio, Photoshop, etc., would be helpful
Experience designing reports with SQL Server Reporting Services would be awesome
Any knowledge you have working with large amounts of data, complex business processes, property taxes would be a plus. If you are hungry for all the latest UX-related design and tech news, we would really appreciate that. Also, you would be a part of the development team and participate fully in our Agile development process.
