Athletico has a unique opportunity available for a Manager of Occupational Therapy who is comfortable working in close collaboration with a dynamic team of nationally recognized hand physicians. We are seeking a dedicated professional with at least ten years of hand therapy experience, exceptional splinting skills, who is comfortable in a fast paced clinic environment and is seeking a rewarding and progressive career path. REQUIREMENTS: •Advance knowledge of post-operative protocols of the upper extremity •Advance in splinting proficient in complex splinting techniques (both static and dynamic) •Scheduling an OT staff of 4 Occupational Therapist for clinical and splint room coverage. •Providing mentorship to OT's.
notes, charge slips, functional capacity evaluations and daily totals sheets, and insurance/plan of care forms as necessary. •Oversee OT billing/ billing inquiries (including DME coding). •Oversee supply ordering for OT. •Education in the forms of staff in-services, community in-services, attendance at continuing education courses, follow-up summary of all continuing education courses to staff members.
- Providing interpretation of prescriptions, performing an initial evaluation, and establishing a treatment plan with functional goals. •During the treatment period, responsible for upgrading the treatment and the goals. •Exceptional patient care and service. •Periodic and timely written communication to physicians.
- Determining appropriate discharge management and patient follow-up. •Supervising rehabilitation aides with patient care and administrative staff as needed. •Supervising of COTA if applicable •Daily paperwork. All OT's are responsible for documenting all treatment in patient charts and completing all written communications in a timely manner, i.e., initial evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, daily S.O.A.P.
- Responsible for quarterly clinician meetings with OTs . •Development of OT Education (residency) program. •Communication with outside hand therapists fielding protocol questions and concerns
