BASIC JOB FUNCTION:|
Work with adolescents in placement conducting art/arts and craft type activities designed to address socialization skills and or positive peer and staff interactions.
Schedule and conduct art/arts and craft activities (individual and group)
Monitor and record participation in program
Supervise and secure safety of participating residents
Setup and direct all recreation activities
Administer recreation “inventory” check list to newly admitted residents and annually thereafter
Complete resident Habilitation assessment
Complete monthly resident notes
Comply with agency mandated trainings (TCI&CPR)
Education/Degree: Bachelor of Arts
Years of Experience: 1+
Other skills and requirements: Experience with special needs children and running individual and group activities.
