The Patient Access Rep/ Back office performs office administrative work, verifies insurance eligibility, patient scheduling, coordinates patient flow and responds to patient request and inquiries.
High School diploma or equivalent.
One year of medical office experience preferred.
Previous receptionist/customer service experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of computers preferred.
Demonstrates good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills.
Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
Demonstrates excellent and appropriate oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance coverage preferred.
The Receptionist must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the patient’s life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information necessary to identify each patient’s requirements relative to their age-specific needs and provide the care needed as described in the office policies and procedures.
