We wish to appoint an Academic Training Manager reporting to the Contracts Manager based at Houston Texas.
The key accountabilities of the job holder will be as follows:
oTo deliver Foundation, Advanced Electronic Systems and Engineering Applications training to REME soldiers and officers within DSEME(A).
oTo develop, drive, manage and implement an Academic Training organisation that is prepared for the future of REME Training.
oLiaise with other Training Managers and Babcock REME Training Managers to drive forward an efficient and effective Training organisation through the utilisation of staff across Academic Training.
oTo identify exploitation and rationalisation opportunities through betterment of Babcock's utilisation of the MoD mandated Virtual Leaning Environment.
oTo implement the migration of modern learning within Academic Training, DSEME(A).
oAssist in the delivery of the technology backbone to support REME training transformation and wider projects. oMaintaining effective stakeholder relationships with the VLE Exploitation team within the MOD. oAdvise and support the Training Development Manager on the implementation of training Transformation within the Academic Training Delivery organisation, within REME, with wider MoD agencies and across the Babcock business.
oSupport and manage customer, employee and colleague expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following: Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
oKnowledge of Military training environments.
oExtensive experience of managing/ balancing diverse stakeholder priorities and agendas.
oDegree qualified in an engineering discipline.
oRecognised Teaching Qualification.
oExperience in provision of military training and support is preferred.
oExperience of working within a military training and/or education environment.
oExperience of working to fixed deadlines through project role.
oExperience of identifying and progressing process change and development.
oExperience of working within a mixed stakeholder organisation.
oAbility to lead change. oAbility to facilitate and maintain excellent customer relationships.
oAbility to identify key challenges and implement timely action to achieve the desired output.
Skills & Competencies ?Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills ?Computer literate in Microsoft packages. ?Must be organised, pragmatic and forward thinking
