POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: • Position required to convert requirements to functional requirements for accurate code development; Functional and design specification ownership including inspection and approval attainment • Required to serve as liaison with other development organizations to support application integration testing and deployment; Liaison to development organization for clarification, escalation, and acceptance of specifications • Work with project managers to develop realistic project plans for acquisition, integration and deployment of software; Coordinates and monitors projects • Leads complex feature and / or system integration tests; Chief architect for developed and supported solutions • Responsible for software packaging and deployment • Performs troubleshooting of application issues; Conducts user need analyses to establish application and development requirements • Provides input to requirements analysis; Identifies technologies to provide product / process stability or improvements; Offers advice on process improvements and technical solutions • Provides thought leadership to other team members • Responsible for developing Business Intelligence solutions which provide key informational needs to NCR’s Service business, enabling them to manage their daily operations • Ensures that business requirements are satisfied in a way that maximizes investment, minimizes risk, and is consistent with the global IT architecture • Lead the business in the identification of business needs and priorities, including the creation of business cases (ROI analysis) • Collects and researches specific client requirements for strategic projects and/or production support efforts; Gathers/defines data and process workflows as well as business/functional system, security, and reporting specifications; Develops, implements, and supports common business processes; Develops network standards and protocols for hardware, software and integration procedures • May either perform or partner with a project manager to document issues, risks, action items, and project team decisions from project meetings; Performs a variety of project related activities including analysis or preparation of documentation and presentations • Participate in the review of technical design deliverables, usability assessment, system integration and user acceptance testing efforts; Quality Management/Post Implementation value assessments of processes and deliverables as required • Leads process modeling and translates requirements into database models; Participates in administration of database engines BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline 5-8 years of related experience Demonstrated problem solving abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong negotiation and selling skills Excellent organization and planning skills Ability to work individually and in a team setting Flexibility in a rapidly changing environment; Ability to work non-standard hours when required Working knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, and tools such as IRise, ReqsPro, and Paintbrush for creation of artifacts and storyboards Experience with Teradata table design and ETL processes; Experience with Business Objects universe design Experience working with a geographically distributed team Demonstrated ability to architect a web solution PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree Experience in using Erwin data model tool; Experience with Oracle Services suite of modules Experience utilizing a structured SCM tool Familiarity with Agile programming methods Certifications in business analysis/project management: PMP, PMI, CBA Experience with RFP and vendor evaluation techniques Experience with quality assessment initiatives such as Six Sigma, Value Stream Analysis, CMMi, etc EEO Statement Integrated into our shared values is NCR's commitment to diversity.
