In cooperation with all Field Ops Managers, the Dispatch manager facilitates installation, testing, and maintenance of central offices and network equipment in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.) Develops and writes all Dispatch Process and TrainingDevelops Metrics and reporting for Dispatch department which aligns with FOPs orgManages LEC Central Office Access for Field OpsManages CPE InventoryMust be able to apply technical expertise to identify, develop, document and implement plans required to satisfy both internal and external customer needs. This includes gathering required data and other pertinent information for accurate record keeping.Interfaces with involved departments and outside vendors to ensure that all milestones on customer and network deployment schedules are met.Evaluates Field Techs/Repair Vendors and provides recommendations/feedback to Field Ops ManagersAssures all equipment, tools, test and safety equipment, etc is installed or used as planned and in compliance with corporate policies and proceduresAnalyzes current processes and procedures regularly to optimize department and reduce costs

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or Experience Requirements:Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or three years in telecommunication industry with similar responsibilities.Strong technical skills with switching systems and electronicsWorking knowledge of electronics, grounding practices, ATM, DSL, Frame Relay, HDSL2, HDSL4, T1, T3, PBX systems, inside plant, outside plant, VoATM, VoFR, VoIP, TDM, TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, NAT, PAT, routing, bridging and switching.Familiarity with ANSI T1.403, ANSI T1.417, and TR-73600 standardsFamiliarity with G.711, G.729, G.723 H.323 compression codecsFamiliarity with Telco central office layoutsFamiliarity with voice, data, and equipment engineering technologies and has an advanced knowledge of telecommunications equipment, terminology, and standard practices and procedures.
