Linear Technology Corporation is seeking a Digital/ Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer for our Burlington, VT location.

We develop a wide range of high-performance power, analog, and mixed-signal ICs using our unique Bipolar, Bi-CMOS, and CMOS processes.

We compete in a wide range of markets including:

• High Resolution Data Conversion

• Handheld Portable Power Management
• Hot Swap Controllers
• Automotive Electronics
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Help define new products and digital architectures
• Detailed, transistor level design of digital circuits for power management products
• Gain an in-depth knowledge of process technologies used
• Simulate and verify integrated circuits
• Drive automated layout tools for synthesis and place and route
• Evaluate silicon performance in the lab and analyze pre-production test data
• Interface with test, product and applications engineers to successfully bring new products from initial concept through release to production
• Find and fix complex digital integrated circuit problems in the laboratory
• Create device datasheets and present products to sales/ customers
• Assist in the support of customer applications
Required Skills
The ideal candidate must have the following key requirements for this position:
• 10+ years Logic/ Digital Design experience with an understanding of Analog Circuits
• Specification/ Architecture/ Floor plan development
• Experience with Verilog HDL and Synthesis through place and route
• Strong understanding of microcontroller core based product architectures
• Logic Design and verification using Verilog
• Direct experience with simulation, STA and verification
• Design for Test experience including SCAN, Fault grading, Iddq, etc.
• Experience with Test Vector Generation and ATPG tools
• Expertise in Asynchronous Logic Design with no clock
• Familiar with Mixed mode simulation
• Mixed-Signal product development flow
• BSEE minimum, MSEE preferred or PhD
• Must have excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
