Brief Description of Role:
The developer would work on various projects performing design and development work of increasing complexity. The developer would work in a distributed team environment and would require experience primarily with Java and UNIX shell scripting. Candidates will interface with Global marketing team, Offshore Team, and SF Development team. Strong commutations, ability to work independent as well with other teams.
The developer would work on various projects performing design and development work of increasing complexity in a distributed team environment and would require experience with .Net, Java and UNIX shell scripting. The developer will interface primarily with the Global Investing business and development teams, while working with other development teams within Schwab. The candidate must be able to analyze, document and implement software solutions in a timely fashion as well as maintain and improve existing software. Secondary production support would be required.
1-3 years programming experience using .Net (C#) using Visual Studio, Java using Eclipse or RAD IDE and Unix shell scripting.
Understanding of relational databases, (preferably Oracle PL/SQL experience) and of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills and the ability to be a self-starter.
Excellent written/ verbal communications skills.
Strong knowledge of MS Project, MS Word and Visio, along with general familiarity with Outlook and other MS Office applications is also required.
- Experience with Perl, TFS and project management.
- Knowledge of SOA, SaaS and web services
