Major Function: Receives all customer inquiries. Operates on-line video terminal with typewriter keyboard. Interrogates computer data base to answer customer inquiries. Generates computer systems control work orders and transactions to satisfy questions and correct customer records.

Duties: Answers all customer inquiries both verbal and written in accordance with current Company policies via video terminal and other computer produced reports and information. Utilizes the Customer Information Control System to electronically generate work orders. Manually prepares the necessary transactions to establish records or correct errors in the customer master, meter, merchandise, repair part or deposit files. Prepares the necessary correspondence and/or statement of account of a routine nature to satisfy customer inquiries. Aids in the training of other Customer Representatives as directed by Supervision. Contacts customers for collection or arrangement of collection of amounts overdue, appointments for service work and to explain any discrepancies with customer accounts. Receives and answers in person customer inquiries as directed by Supervision. Performs other related clerical duties as required.
