COMMUNITY RELATIONS DIRECTOR

SUMMARY
Greets prospective clients, provides tours and information, and undertakes marketing activities. Welcomes and promotes a positive image to residents, families, and guests to the community. The essential function of the Community Relations Director is to increase community census.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Initiates and carries out marketing calls by contacting discharge planners and outside representative. Answers telephone inquiries, sends out brochures and makes follow-up calls.
Visits and conducts presentations at doctors’ offices, senior centers, clinics, and organizations for seniors distributing sales and collateral literature.
Meets census goals by ongoing communication and meets standards set by the executive director and sales and marketing director.
Conducts tours, home visits, and assessments offering an overview of the services, lifestyle, convenience and benefits of the community. Follows the company’s sales process; guidelines and philosophy.
Completes appropriate database documentation, paperwork, and keeps executive director and department heads up to date on inquiries, tours, outreach plan and mover-ins and move-outs.
Represents the community in welcoming prospective residents, family members, referral sources and the public in a positive, helpful, and caring manner demonstrating community mission and philosophy.
Maintains accurate database records of reserved and occupied units, communicating this information to the executive director and the sales and marketing director. Prepares and distributes marketing reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Completes competitive analysis and competitive positioning analysis every six (6) months or more often as requested.
Appears in a neat, clean and professional manner at all times.

Requirements

COMMUNITY RELATIONS DIRECTOR

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two-year Associate Degree and a minimum of one year of sales and marketing experience or two years sales and marketing experience. Experience with budgets, closing sales and public speaking helpful.
CPR and First Aide training required.
