The Photographer/Editor videotapes and edits video related to various news events, edits video for daily news broadcasts, runs ENG and SNG vehicles and related broadcast equipment and uses smart phone to send in video/photos for stories. The Photographer/Editor serves will also do phone interviews for breaking news and will do research both at the station and in the field related to story assignments. The Photographer/Editor must be able to work alone to gather stories that are self-contained and/or work with a reporter.
Essential Job Functions
40% - Functions as staff photographer; shoots and edits video of daily general assignments and spot news stories.
30% - Functions as editor for newscasts
15% - Utilizes technology to enhance story coverage.
15% - Operates ENG and SNG Vehicles and related broadcast equipment.
All must be met to be considered.
High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred. Video photography courses or seminars preferred.
Three years experience in all phases of news photography and editing.

Superior skills of video photography and editing.
Ability to shoot and edit with speed, efficiency, and creativity.
Ability to produce high quality news stories.
Ability to maintain all assigned equipment in excellent working condition.

Ability to use technology to gather stories (smart phones, laptops, Skype, etc.)
Must have a valid South Carolina driver's license.
