Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) markets the PlayStation? family of products and develops, publishes, markets, and distributes software for the PS one* console, PlayStation?2, PlayStation?3, and the PlayStation Portable (PSP*) computer entertainment systems. Based in Foster City, California, SCEA serves as headquarters for all North American operations and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. The Software Marketing Consultant is responsible for supporting the Product Marketing team in the strategy and execution of product marketing campaigns and building the marketing communication materials for his/her assigned products.

RESPONSIBLITIES: Marketing of PlayStation software in all areas of product marketing to include: Support Director on assigned PlayStation titles, including developing marketing strategy, creative briefs, overseeing product lifecycle plans, competitive analysis, presentations, and other support necessities as required Provide support as needed to team members on marketing execution Conduct and analyze market research and sales data to monitor competitive activity and identify consumer needs. Understand and investigate market trends Manage vendor and agency relationships to achieve product business plan goals Handle strategy for marketing and promotional programs to ensure in line with product and brand goals and objectives, and within budget Manage relationships and drive agenda with key marketing stakeholders and Public Relations to relay relevant product information in a timely manner Also work in partnership with Product Development to provide marketing feedback and updates on product development. Review product code and asset creation, including videos, demos, and POP to ensure creative is approved and representative of brand and marketing strategy Oversee team projects and review internal process documents Present product(s) to other functional marketing teams, sales, or at trade show events REQUIREMENTS: Ability to manage delegated responsibility with little supervision Assert the professional maturity to communicate progress, issues or concerns to direct supervisor Outstanding oral and written communication skills required Must be articulate and professional Lucid and well though out writing skills are essential. Clear and concise email communication is also important Occasional business travel EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Excellent communication/organizational skills At least 5 years of marketing consumer brands with gaming knowledge/experience a plus Analytical and entrepreneurial mindset Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Communications or equivalent Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA) is responsible for keeping PlayStation ?
