Senior Project Manager (Level III).
Plan, direct, and coordinate project management activities related to information systems; manage large, complex and high-cost strategic initiatives as assigned by the PMO leader; evaluate business processes and makes recommendations for improvements; prepare detailed Project Plans/Schedules to meet project delivery goals; build project teams by evaluating project resource needs and obtaining/allocating project resources; use best practices in Project Management methodology for managing each initiative; ensure proper project documentation is prepared and maintained throughout the project lifecycle; manage project team to ensure deliverables are on schedule, within budget and within scope; ensure project objectives and business needs are being met throughout the project lifecycle; serve as a liaison between IT and Amedisys business units; establish and maintain relationships with project stakeholders and project sponsor(s); maintain communication with project team members and project sponsor(s); manage project scope by enforcing change control procedures; conduct project team status meetings; provide project overview and status updates to Senior Management on a recurring basis.
(i) a M.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related; (ii) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification; (iii) three years’ experience with the Nine Project Management Knowledge Areas: Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resource, Communications, Risk and Procurement Management; (iv) Microsoft Certified Professional (Microsoft Project) certification; (v) three years experience in business analysis, business process improvement, and business process mapping. (vi) three years’ experience managing projects using Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Server, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft SharePoint technology.
