Job Description:
Kelly Engineering Resources specializes in providing
companies around the world with qualified engineers,
designers, drafters and technicians. We currently have a
need for a Direct Hire Sales/Application Engineer for
client in Cleveland, Ohio. This is a salaried position.

Sales Engineer Summary:
Client is a leading supplier of air pollution and air
handling equipment with over 50 years of design and
fabrication experience. Their FRP fans are the favorite
repeat choice of engineers, architects, municipalities
and industrial plants around the world and are used by
companies serving a wide variety of industries
including: chemical, steel, pharmaceutical, solar and
wastewater.
To support global strategy for continued growth by
supplying innovative engineered solutions and market
proven products, the Sales Engineer is responsible for
increasing sales, assisting with training programs and
cultivating new customers for the Fan Division.
The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology
and product positioning to both business and technical
user, and must be able to identify all technical issues
of assigned accounts to assure complete customer
satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.
The ability to negotiate and close sales is required.
Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven
track record in the sale of custom engineered and
commodity products. Air handlings background is
preferred but not a requirement. In addition, candidate
must be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a
technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer
base, and must possess strong presentation skills and be
able to communicate professionally in written responses
to emails, RFQ s, and detailed proposals.

Sales Engineer Responsibilities:
+Growing sales in excess of the commodity business
through value added solutions and Engineering services.
+ Assume limited project management responsibilities
from inception to completion to ensure complete customer
satisfaction and limit margin erosion and provide the
framework for future
+Analyze and report project status and cost for project
viability and continuation; persuading clients that a
product or service best satisfies their needs in terms
of quality, price and delivery;
+ Negotiate tender and contract terms to meet both
client and company needs
+Offering after-sales support services i.e. follow up
and after delivery customer service
  • Recording and maintaining client contact data via
SalesForce CRM;
+Managing and interpreting customer requirements
+Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a
product meets client needs; providing training and
producing support material for other members of the
sales team as needed.
+Able to respond to functional and technical elements of
RFQs and bid packages.
+Able to convey customer requirements to Engineering and
other Fan Team Members.
+ Able to travel throughout sales territory.
+ Keep informed on industry news and trends, products,
services, competitors, relevant information about
legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the
latest product-line developments.
+Research and identify potential customers for products
or services.
+Attend trade shows and seminars to promote products or
to learn about industry developments.
+ Document account activities, generate reports, and
keep records of business transactions with customers and
suppliers.

Sales Engineer Requirements:
+ Bachelor s degree. Mechanical engineer preferred
+ Business development/commercial experience
+2-5 years experience
