Events & Marketing Manager
Location: Culver City, California

The NA Events and Marketing Manager assists the North American and operations teams with all aspects of event planning such as national sales promotions, call center incentive campaigns and contests; technician incentive campaigns and contests; contractor/battery service provider campaigns and conferences, AAA/CAA trade shows, and other events and conferences such as a the International Battery Conference. Strong communication and multi-tasking skills are required as is an extreme attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines and budget.

Candidates should have a high tolerance for interruption and ambiguity, have strong communication skills and business knowledge/perspective. Marketing experience highly desirable; event management experience required; field marketing experience is a must, sales promotional experience is helpful although no direct sales activity is required in this role. Our new team member will be expected to assist with and provide event deliverables on schedule and within budget. This role will also be required to work with our AAA/CAA club partners and support and guide them on what is the best course of action and provide creative solutions to problems, as well as direction on best practices to obtain mutually agreed upon results.

Not only will this position oversee events but also manage small network clubs by developing and implementing effective marketing campaigns in order to drive sales volume and profit for all clients, both internal and external. Strong planning and communication skills are critical to achieving this purpose to ensure all clients and contributors are informed and involved in program/initiative execution.
Above all this is a creative role where you will be tasked with developing new, innovative ideas, campaigns and programs that help bring attention to the Club Assist brand, services, and products and those of our strategic business partners as well.

Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure a strong performance relationship with client contacts and internal personnel to foster growth and achievement of mutual goals.
Coordinate all aspects of promotional events (confirming dates, securing locations, securing catering, graphics, staffing, coordinating the production/shipping of various promotional materials, etc.)
Plan and execute various off-site events from beginning to end and help brainstorm on new events that will help drive awareness, best practices in the field and sales.
Provide support to marketing organization throughout North America Contribute to the development of the annual Marketing Plan in consultation with the VP of Marketing & GM Sales in order to reach club and company agreement on the strategy, tactical plan and budgets.
Establish forecasted marketing spend with supporting ROI at the conclusion of each program/initiative where possible.
Implementation of specific projects in the Marketing Plan per the activity schedule within budgeted costs and timeframes.
Effectively manage program timelines and activities while collaborating with other team members.
Monthly meetings with internal and/or club management to communicate the current activities vs. budget, identify additional opportunities and issues, and to highlight status and next milestones versus the previously agreed plan.
Responsibility for creating new internal marketing initiatives as well as executing established programs with the purpose of proactively seeking new business growth opportunities across all business units.
Working with operational teams in order to drive sales volumes and club stakeholder support for Club Assist programs.
Contribution of content to the Club Lounge North American internal website and other internal web-based communication media.
Coordination of the print management process with internal design team, and outside vendors when required, in terms of purpose of piece, content, quantity, cost, price, type while meeting all budgetary requirements and limits in an effort to maintain budget control.
Ensure a strong, supporting performance relationship with auto club personnel and internal personnel who foster growth and achievement of mutual goals.
3-5 years of prior marketing management and event planning
Strong customer service orientation
B.S. in Marketing/ Business or Communications desirable
Certified Meeting Planner designation desirable.
Ability to deal with all levels of employees within organizations
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently
Experience bringing in projects at budget.
Ability to travel 50%
