DESCRIPTION

Outdoor Research is seeking a Sr. Infrastructure Specialist. This role will be responsible for transforming a legacy environment to a 'current state' technology platform and helping to develop the support organization to provide the enabling solutions for the company successes. Understanding the need for 'global and mobile,' and applying solutions that are focused on this need, will be critical to the success of this role. DUTIES

Team leadership and mentoring by helping to develop and maintain qualified staff members; orienting, training, coaching team members; communicating task expectations. Building relationships within the organization to ensure operational needs are met with appropriate technology solutions.Architectural understanding of virtualized environments and P2V best practices with VMWare Vsphere and Citrix Xen experience.Architectural responsibility for Citrix based presentation solutions with XenApp XenDesktop with a solid working knowledge of Citrix printing, ICA Client management farm design, management and deployment experience. Technical operations for Windows 2003 and 2008 as well as Linux server environments, (Red Hat, Centos and Ubuntu).Technical operations for 'cloud based' virtual environments. Technical operations for network infrastructure (wired and wireless).Documenting, developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures.IT operations including maintaining current systems; evaluating, recommending, testing and installing new technology; contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change through managed processes. Determines IT operations service requirements by analyzing needs of users/departments; prioritizing modifications to core system applications; resolves organizational conflict; developing and implementing documentation requirements for problem resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Skills and Requirements Technology certifications from Microsoft and Citrix and Cisco. 5+ years System Administration. 3+ years Microsoft Active Directory operations. 3+ years Microsoft Exchange operations.3+ years of client-side desktop support.3+ years of server-side infrastructure support.3+ years Citrix and VMWare applied skills.2+ years network maintenance and network design and implementation experience including network hardware configuration management.2+ years project management and promoting process improvement. Other Skills/AbilitiesIndustry experience in apparel, manufacturing, warehousing a plus.Our operations are growing so some out-of-hours support will be required.NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
