Alfa Laval Inc USA, is looking for Account Manager for PTD Division in PPS Segment.

Account Manager The Account Manager will close sales of service products and operating solutions to customers and owners of Alfa Laval separation equipment. They will also be responsible for parts and service sales planning for exclusive accounts in the region. They will cover direct and indirect sales of parts & services to industrial process companies. Key products will include parts & service separation products/services at key accounts in the region. Territory is the Eastern US, with concentration of opportunities in the southeast area. The position supports and works closely with capital sales counterparts. The Account Manager will also collect and analyze information on competitors, competing products, technologies, pricing and market strategies. Sales planning and forecasting are key functions of this position.

Expectations & Responsibilities:
  • Develop customer relationships, at all levels including strategic levels, in the customer’s organization
  • Meets with customer individually to assess their needs and develop a solution using Alfa Laval technology
  • Develop and implement an effective parts and service Sales Plan Strategy for the region
  • Coordinates with the necessary levels of Alfa Laval’s organization and the customers to support & sell solutions
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by maintaining a positive relationship with the customer
  • Gathers competitive and customer information to use to develop and improve equipment performance and process for the customer
  • Travel approximately 65%
Desired knowledge skills and abilities:

  • BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred or a BA with technical on-the-job experience within Industrial Process, Food or Life Science markets
  • 5+ years experience in sales and service preferred within the Industrial Process, Food and Life Science markets
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with rotating equipment
  • Ability to gather, analyze and suggest solutions to problems that may arise in the process
  • Strong drive and determination and is willing to be creative in developing new ideas and procedures to solve problems
  • Strong business acumen, ability to develop opportunities, close business, and focus on the bottom line
  • Strong communicator, good listener and responsive to customer needs
  • Demonstrates leadership and ownership to solving problems and developing credible solutions. Ability to coordinate Alfa Laval support resources
  • Demonstrated sales planning and forecasting skills
