School/Unit Harvard Medical School Sub-Unit New Eng Reg Primate Res Ctr Location USA - MA - Southborough Job Function Research Time Status Full-time Department Division of Microbiology - New England Primate Research Center (NEPRC) Salary Grade 052 Union 55 - Hvd Union Cler & Tech Workers Duties & Responsibilities Under specific direction the successful candidate will be responsible for performing basic research on molecular mechanisms of viral replication and immune mediated control. The candidate will also be responsible for a variety of administrative duties related to lab duties including but not limited to processing invoices and ordering and shipping supplies. Will perform related duties as required. Basic Qualifications College background or equivalent work experience preferably in a related discipline. 1 year related work experience (relevant course work may count toward experience). Additional Qualifications Bachelor's degree prefered. Experience in two or more of the following areas is highly desirable: cell culture; virologic assays; antibody assays; ELISA; cloning; PCR. Demonstrated abilities in basic laboratory techniques helpful, but not required. Appropriate communications skills required. Additional Information This position requires the completion of a satisfactory health screening clearance prior to the start of employment.
