The Clinical Laboratory Personnel are responsible for specimen processing, all test performances, and for reporting test results. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies, procedures and applicable laws. Familiar with concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Rely on experience and training to accomplish these goals. Maintains knowledge of and follow all relevant PRACS Institute SOPs.
PM Shift: 2pm - 10pm

JOB INTERACTIONS AND INTERFACE:
This position interacts with internal staff in departments throughout PRACS Institute; including but not limited to Clinical Trial Support staff, Clinical Research Coordinators, Principal and Sub-Investigators, external customers, Vendors, and Sponsors.
Safely and efficiently process blood, fecal, and urine samples from study participants.
Will process specimens, perform testing procedures, and report results without direct supervision and review.
Performs only those tests that are commensurate with the individuals education, training, or experience and technical abilities.
Follow the laboratories procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting, and maintaining records of patient results.
Adhere to laboratories Quality Control policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratories established acceptable levels of performance.
Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and correct problems immediately or notify Technical Consultant.
Review study documents for completeness and accuracy.
Demonstrates skill in use of equipment relevant to position and verbalizes knowledge of appropriate safety procedures.
Work with the Quality Assurance group in the development/revision and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures as required.
Ensure compliance with appropriate PRACS Institute SOPs GCP and ICH guidelines.
Ensure personal resume (CV) is updated annually as required.
May be required to keep personal training file updated on a regular basis.
Participate in training sessions.
Work in a safe manner that does not endanger yourself or co-workers.

Execute other duties as may be required by Reporting Manager and other members of PRACS Institute Management team as training and experience allow.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a current license issued by the State in which the laboratory is located.
Meet one of the following requirements:
1.Is a doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy licensed to practice medicine or osteopathy in the State in which the laboratory is located.
2.Have earned a doctoral, masters, or bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
3.Is a high school graduate or equivalent and have successfully completed an official military medical laboratory procedures course of at least 50 weeks duration and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician).
