Manages, supports, and expands key computer systems and administrative applications with the EHS organization with a primary focus on the Lawson ERP system.
The Senior Application Support Analyst is responsible for providing leadership during systems analysis, design, configuration, implementation and support for Human Resources, Supply Chain and Payroll business process and application needs. This individual must be able to work with department leaders to translate business requirements into system requirements to ensure consistent and effective use of our systems, tools, and technology throughout the Health System. Evaluates software capabilities and leads efforts to indentify, prioritize, and implement functionality that will improve efficiencies of business processes and make data readily available
to department leaders to supports their ability to manage their business units. Coordinates problem resolution efforts with all resources and stakeholders, and serves as primary interface between EHS and supporting application vendors.
This individual needs to demonstrate exceptional teamwork in multiple concurrent highly-matrixed project teams.
Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the tenacity to uncover new ways to leverage and integrate line of business systems with enterprise administrative applications.
Develop detailed technical and functional knowledge of software, hardware, and business process requirements in supported EHS business units and teams.
Serve as technology consultant and subject matter expert by providing consultative and functional assistance to end users for administration and management of business systems.
Represent the Information Technology and Services Group within EHS and provide day to day leadership and support to functional teams to address questions and problems that arise in the execution and evolution of their business processes, and research and assist in the implementation of best practices.
Takes ownership of user requests and monitor progress to completion, including follow up on implementation issues and user satisfaction.
Collaborate with other IT staff and resources to ensure all supported business systems are operational, up-to-date and accessible for transactional processing and reporting, including assisting in system upgrades/patches through testing, reporting, and analysis of changes.
Participate in security and account administration & compliance.
Advocate for user’s needs and assume primary ownership for business process design, documentation and implementation for applications, systems, and technologies supported by this position, including functional requirements definition, process modeling, solution specifications, and other documents & deliverables.
Create functional and UAT test plans and implementation support materials, including development of end-user documentation and providing end-user training.
Translate current and future business processes and workflows into Lawson functionalities, integrations, or other relevant administrative applications.
Consults with users to develop, test, deliver and maintain application enhancements, scripts, interfaces, data extracts, reports and dashboards to support business unit strategies.
Develop and implement process flows, smart notifications, smart forms, rules, mappings, and tables
Maintain and audit integrity & accuracy of business application databases, integration scripts, processes, and files
May lead and/or participate on project teams of varied scope and scale as needed and prioritized.
These projects include systems migrations, major/minor applications upgrades, business improvement, and regulatory/legal compliance
Collaborates with project team to manage tasks, resources, and work schedules to meet expected completion dates
Maintains expert knowledge to lead, grow and expand the use of Lawson and other administrative applications by attending user, industry and OEM conferences to exchange ideas and advocate for EHS issues and needs with product strategy and development groups
Assist the Director with budget and strategic planning for applications supported by this position
Education: Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent technical experience and education preferred.
5-10 years applications experience in a healthcare information services environment
Minimum 3 years experience with Lawson ERP systems with expertise’s in two or more applications including LSF, LBI, Financial, Procurement, HR/Payroll, Global HR, Materials, and supporting components such as Process Flow, Smart Notes, Position Control, BSI Tax and 3
party forms, S3 Business Intelligence, MS-Addins, S3 analytics, Design Studio, Smart Office, triggers, and code mods.
Experience with Kronos Workforce (including Kronos Connect or Interface Designer) and/or Hyland OnBase document management is a plus.
One or more Lawson/Kronos technical certifications is a plus.
Software/Hardware: May include SQL, Crystal Reports, Lawson, Kronos, Hyland, Epic, scripting and development tools.
