We are currently working with a large hospital in Eastern TX in their search for experienced Med Techs and Med Lab Techs for both their clinics and their hospital.
The hospital is seeking Medical Technologists and Medical Lab Technicians to join our laboratory team. The candidate should be a highly professional, client/patient-focused individual for a challenging and rewarding full-time career in a state-of-the-art laboratory. Requires a minimum of MT/MLT (ASCP Eligible) and/or Associates degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science. Must be able function in a fast-paced environment and multi-task. Preferred experience level of 3 to 5 years in an acute care environment.

MUST be a non smoker.

About Our Laboratories

The hospital's Laboratories provide transfusion services and perform testing on all age groups for inpatients, outpatients, ER patients, and referral lab patient specimens. Remodeled in 2003, our state-of-the-art facilities feature an automated Core Laboratory design (Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Special Chemistry) with expansive Blood Bank , Microbiology, and Anatomical Pathology departments. Enhancement in Molecular Diagnostics testing is planned for the future. A full service Stat Lab is staffed in our Emergency Care Center to facilitate prompt TAT’s for our ER patient population.

The tests our laboratories perform are crucial in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of disease. Our scientists use sophisticated instruments such as Beckman Coulter LH 755/750, Ortho Diagnostics EnGen robotics with (2) Vitros 5,1 and (3) ECI systems, Diagnostic Stago STAR, Vitek2 ,BacTAlert3D, Ventana, and Hologic systems to test blood, tissue, and body fluids.

For the Hospital Laboratory, an MT is preferred with 3 to 5 years of experience in a Generalist role in an acute care environment. The Generalist candidates must be available to work an evening shift. We also have 3 openings on the day shift for Microbiology specialized MT candidates with 4 to 6 years in Microbiology. We also have 2 clinic locations in need of an MLT with at least 1 year of experience.

All evening and night shifts receive an additional 15% shift differential. We are also offering sign-on/relocation packages with the amount based on experience level, distance of move, and commitment agreements. In addition, we are able to offer temporary housing for a two-week period, if needed. The duration of the temporary housing may be extended with additional authorization.

We do have 1 night shift available and 3 evening shifts available for Generalist candidates.
