The Bakken is a large unconventional resource play located in the Williston Basin of Montana and North Dakota and is considered a premier play in the Company's global asset portfolio. The Bakken play is a high profile, key growth driver for the corporation that has proven value through successful drilling over the last several years. Over the next 10 years we plan to exploit our 626 M acre leased and mineral position by investing $6B in development capital and peaking at 45 M boepd of net production.
The Production Foreman / Supervisor directs, coordinates, and supervises all operational activities within their area necessary to safely and efficiently produce hydrocarbons while adhering to all company and governmental policies, guidelines, and regulations. The successful candidate will be a core member of the Bakken Field Operations Leadership Team and will report to the Bakken Operations Superintendent.
Provide direct supervision and work direction for company and contract multi-skilled operators and production specialists. This includes:
Ensuring personnel have adequate skill training
Conducting performance evaluations
Assist with career development planning
Provide oversight of COP staff and contractors to ensure the successful implementation of COP HSE policies which include:
Facilitating weekly safety meetings
Conducting safety orientations
Participating and leading incident investigations
Holding management reviews with key contractors
Conducting Personnel Management of Change (PMOC) for new employees
Liaise with asset engineers, field supervision, and hydrocarbon marketing personnel to ensure production and lease operating expense budgets are met
Coordinate weekly production volume reporting
Adhering to standard processes, procedures and roles & responsibilities for Production Surveillance & Optimization
Responsible for asset production efficiency (LPRS and Direct Operating Efficiency)
Responsible for failure frequency minimization which includes facilitating Pre-pull and Well Failure meetings
Resolving minor issues with landowners and regulatory agencies
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license
7+ years of experience in oil and gas operations
1+ years supervisory or lead experience
Demonstrated leadership in promoting safe work practices
Understanding of industry behavior based safety programs
Familiar with incident reporting guidelines and procedures
Computer proficient with Microsoft Office applications and SAP
Strong communication, mentoring, teamwork and problem solving skills
