Usability Engineer/Graphics Designer
Incorporates user-friendly design (i.e. labels, page layout, and terminology) and support 508 compliance for an enhanced user experience. Organizes content and controls into categories or groupings in order for the user to easily find what they need (information architecture). Designs screens to support user task flow (navigation). Designs specific screens to allow users to know what they can do (interaction). Provides consistent, corporate branding for Process applications. Incorporates graphics design into the application layout to enhance the user experience. Designs and develops graphics to be incorporated into the Process applications.
Requirement: Candidates must possess a Top Secret Clearance with a Fullscope polygraph .
Requirements include, but are not limited to:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Qualifications may be in Creative Arts, human factors, usability and information architectures.
In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree: An additional four (4) years of relevant experience can be substituted, or,
An Associate’s Degree, combined with an additional two (2) years of relevant experience, can be substituted.
- Five (5) years of experience designing enterprise web applications. Graphical User Interface design, usability testing, and human factors.
- Five (5) years experience developing corporate graphics.
- Experience using tools for design and mockups of the GUI, such as DreamWeaver, Fireworks, Photoshop, and Flash.
