Where you work matters! Swedish is looking for a Clinical Nurse Manager
for our Birth Center at Swedish/Edmonds in Edmonds, Washington.
The Nurse Manager is responsible for providing overall leadership, and direction for the unit or areas of responsibility and for creating an environment that fosters a multidisciplinary team and collaborative approach to care that achieves operational and clinical “Best Practice”. Our nursing practice reflects the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment, and establishing patient expectations.
In this position you will:
Ensure the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient patient 24 hours a day
Investigate patient care and/or administrative problems
Coach, develop, evaluate and advocate for staff
Work with Director and Chief Nursing Officer to create and implement an operational budget annually, monitoring performance monthly
Participate in continuous quality improvement and risk management programs
Provide leadership and direction for staff while supporting the goals of the department and hospital
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master’s degree in nursing or health-related field
National certification in specialty area
