Parts Managers/Parts Inventory Analysts

Job Function:

Directs and controls parts operations for the entire organization to maximize return on investment through parts sales growth and the effective management of inventories, staffing and budgets.

Essential Duties:


Works in concert with the Service Director to develop, maintain and manage the execution of the Aftermarket Strategic Business Plan for the organization.


Monitors individual and overall Parts Department performance relative to parts sales, inventory management and expense control, enterprise wide, in line with the organization’s objectives.


Coordinates and resolves interdepartmental issues (with Sales/Service)


Creates and facilitates the execution of parts advertising, marketing and promotional programs to grow parts sales and market share for the organization as a whole.


Develops and monitors the annual parts budget for the entire enterprise.


Facilitates the organization’s Customer Satisfaction Program to enhance and maintain customer relationships relative to parts support.


Directs and controls Parts Department recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for the entire enterprise.


Determines learning paths and coordinates applicable training programs for Parts Department personnel throughout the organization.


Establishes and maintains compensation and incentive plans for all Parts Department personnel within the enterprise.


Develops and maintains an effective sales management system for the enterprise (call scheduling, call reporting, customer segmentation, etc…).


Develops and maintains competitive parts intelligence systems throughout the organization.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years experience in managing Parts Department operations.
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Ability to speak effectively one-on-one and within a group.
  • Excellent understanding of financial principles relative to Parts Department operations.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
