  • The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the education and training program manager by administering, developing, delivering, evaluating, and overseeing education and training programs, activities, and personnel
  • Manages base level Education & training (E&T) Activities serves as the base level education and training functional manager by consulting on the instructional systems development process and career field education and training plans and provides customer assistance.
  • Developing, delivering, and evaluating Education and Training Programs applies the instructional system development process. Compares individual knowledge skills with job standards, and identifies E&T requirements.
  • Provides Assistance in Administering Education and Training Programs assists in the organization, management, and control of unit level E&T programs to achieve educational goals and mission requirements.
  • Manages automated Training Data Validates, monitors, updates, and corrects training information contained in the Personnel Data system with required timelines. Provide military and education support in other program areas Provide assistance, guidance and expertise in one or more military or education services programs operations or functions. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Back to top SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (GS-06) or equivalent. Specialized experience must include such as skills in applying an extensive body of military personnel rules, regulations, procedures, and precedents relating to the military formal training program. Knowledge and skills in military training program to answer questions, resolve issues, prepare reports and coordinate with headquarters on any issue (NOTE: This same experience must be well- described in the application/resume that you complete and submit in addition to answering this Questionnaire.

Federal Time-In-Grade (TIG): Requirement for General Schedule (GS) Positions: Applicants must have served at least 52 weeks at the GS-06 or higher grade (or equivalent in an alternate pay system) within the Federal Civil Service to be considered for referral. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE : Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

1. Knowledge of military training programs, their objectives, policies and procedures. Knowledge of military organizational structure, protocol, and similar matters.

2. Knowledge of the format, content, and uses of the military personnel record and the procedures and requirements regarding its maintenance.

3. Knowledge of the military personnel automated system and of general office administrative and clerical procedures.

4. Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tool, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs. A qualified typist is not required.

5. Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing, and maintain effective work relationships.
