McCarthy's Southwest Division currently has an exciting and challenging role for a Staff Accountant. This person will work with the Regional Controller to provide accurate, and timely financial information to management, as well as, provide customer service to the project teams for all cost accounting issues. The Staff Accountant will support the Southwest Region in accomplishing all of its business goals.Responsibilities: Liaison between Corporate Accounting and Project sites. Prepare monthly financial reporting/WIP Schedule Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations Assist with quarterly profit projections and reporting Joint Venture Billings & reconciliations Escrow account oversight and reconciliations Project set up & close out Prevailing wage implementation Project audits for lien waivers, prevailing wage & taxes Monthly gross receipts tax Projects as assigned by Controller SW Region
3+ years of accounting and/or construction experience recommended Bachelors degree in Accounting Strong attention to detail Knowledge of Microsoft office applications, predominantly excel required. Knowledge of Oracle Accounting systems preferred
