Micro Electronics is seeking a Web Developer to implement and manage the user interface application and content management application for a high volume ecommerce website. This application includes integration with several other systems including a cart, checkout and other systems as required. The Web Developer will also direct the on-going design of the ecommerce website and implement approved changes to the site as required. This position will work in our web design department located in our corporate office in Hilliard , Ohio .
JOB SUMMARY:
The candidate should have a strong background in web site design and development. This background must include the ability to develop code in C#/ASP.net and JavaScript and to address HTML and scripting compatibility issues between different browsers. The candidate must be able to monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards and be able to research, recommend, and apply new technologies as necessary. Good communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various department heads are crucial. The candidate must also be able to work efficiently in both independent and collaborative situations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Perform maintenance and updates to current ecommerce site and intranet sites
Develop new features for current ecommerce site and intranet sites
Ensure that application uses technologies and methodologies that conform to company standards
Work with current web design team to bring visual concepts to reality through a structured development process
Collaborate with teams in other areas of the company to insure web application fulfills both customer and company needs
EDUCATION & MINIMUM EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
Bachelor of Science degree, CIS, MIS or equivalent
Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS
Knowledge of JavaScript
At least 1+ years commercial application development experience using C# / ASP.NET
Advanced knowledge of PHP
Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
Experience with formal development methodology is a plus
Experience with development tools such as Visual Studio is required
Experience with design tools such as Dreamweaver is desired
Microsoft certification is a plus
Retail experience is a plus
