Duties and Responsibilities of the selected candidate
Oversees the day-to-day operation of the Nurse Anesthesia Program in the absence of the Program Director.
Assists the Program Director in planning, implementing and evaluating the Nurse Anesthesia Program.
Oversees the coordination of students' clinical experiences.
Serves as liaison between clinical faculty and students, and the Program Director.
Assists in developing objectives and guidelines for all clinical rotations and affiliations.
Classroom and clinical teaching in the graduate nursing programs.
Provides academic advisement and counseling to graduate students.
Participates in College and University Committees.
Participates in college related activities.
Scholarship expectations commensurate with academic rank.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE ABOVE POSITION DESCRIPTION
REQUIRED: NYS RN License, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesist (CRNA), and a Master's Degree in Nursing.
PREFERRED: Teaching experience, and doctoral degree in nursing or a related field; Leadership/management experience, participation in professional organizations and evidence of scholarship including research and/or grants are highly desirable.
