The Network Operations Centre (NOC) is a 24/7 support Center. A NOC Support Engineers’ role is to support the SecureWorks infrastructure. This work is shift based and will require that you monitor both our ticketing and System/Event monitoring application. Our service lines have varying Service Level Agreement (SLAs) response times so the ability to prioritize events and hand off as required is a must.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Technical Skills:
- A working Knowledge of Linux with preferably 3 to 4 years of experience. (RHEL, CentOS in particular)
- TCP / IP protocol Stack
- Foundation Cisco Skill Set: IP networking, basic routing, and firewalls
- Network / Host Monitoring Skillset: Nagios, Samhain, Solar Winds.
- Server hardware: x64 servers
- Databases: Experience with MySQL, Oracle or DB2.
- Windows server administration knowledge and experience
Social Skills:
- Excellent Customer Service
- Ability to Work in a fast paced environment
- Works well in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills

Education & Experience Required:
- Experience working in a NOC or Datacenter environment
- Experience with setting up or working in a Service/Help Desk
- Windows server administration knowledge and experience
- Perl and shell scripting Skills
- Information Security domain knowledge
- Firewall configuration knowledge and experience (multi-platform)
- Working knowledge or exposure to ITIL.or ISO IT standard practices

IT certifications desirable but none required upon hire.
Completion of the LPIC-1 and GSEC will be required within one year post hire.
