Provide corporate expertise, support, and direct assistance to facilities and global EHS staff. Within assigned program area, ensure that all global facilities and activities of the Company are in compliance with the requirements of all applicable laws and regulations, and with Company policy and standards.
Identify, evaluate and develop controls for environmental factors and stresses associated with operations to reduce or eliminate employee exposure.
Perform EHS compliance audits and prepare reports, assist facilities and global EHS staff with required periodic EHS reporting, and perform EHS training.
Manage industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and other EHS-related projects in assigned program area from proposal and project scope development through field implementation, data analysis, report development and solutions implementation.
Provide corporate consulting assistance and expertise to facility managers and global EHS staff on regulatory and technical matters related to assigned program area.
Review existing EHS programs and revise as necessary with a focus on chemical management, industrial hygiene, and ergonomics.
Review and provide advice on significant engineering projects within assigned program area. Recommend capital projects needed to address hazards or regulatory deadlines.
Review and maintain awareness of new and existing laws, rules, and regulations relevant to the Company’s facilities and operations. Communicate changes to global EHS staff and other affected personnel
Coordinate with and provide advice and assistance to global EHS staff and applicable company personnel on questions/issues as they arise.
Assist in managing systems to measure accident reduction and safety performance and provide information to company facilities.
B.S. required in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Safety Science, Chemistry, Safety Engineering, or other science/engineering discipline.
Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
Working towards or hold a professional certification in the field such as CIH, CSP, or CPE.
Must be computer literate with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Travel required - 20 % max.
