Multi Service Corporation seeks an Entry Level Programmer. Responsibilities will include creating new applications as well as enhancing and maintaining existing applications. The target application stack consists of Perl/mod_perl/Oracle Database operating on Linux and utilizes languages/technologies including SQL, PL/SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and SOAP. Developers will be exposed to all areas of software development including design, development, peer review, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Analyze requirements and work with peers and company teams on application design and development
Participate in design, documentation and code peer reviews
Provide application on-call support
Accept and complete projects and other duties as assigned
Document status and keep peers and company teams informed of progress
Follow application performance, security and coding standards
Required Qualifications:
College degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience developing web browser-based applications
Demonstrated ability to work in both team and independent environments
Detailed understanding of the software development process
Attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in web development with Perl, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Oracle Database
Familiarity with web services based on SOAP, XML, and WSDL
Previous experience using JavaScript libraries such as YUI
Previous experience tuning Oracle SQL statements
