Position Title Intern - R & D Diagnostics
Scientist, Molecular Biology
This position supports the HLA/Clinical Diagnostics group and will work closely with existing Research and Development staff as well as cross functional teams to develop and release an assigned Sequence Specific Primer (SSP) HLA typing kit.
Individual will be responsible for learning and executing SSP design strategies for the purposes of developing a product for the transplant diagnostic market.
The candidate will work closely with R&D staff to develop a SSP design utilizing internal software applications. Designs will be proven through functional evidence gathered from laboratory testing. Candidate will be required to document objective evidence of the design and test results to meet existing product specifications.
Intern candidates must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD program in Biology.
Graduating students are eligible only if they are returning to school the following semester to pursue the next level degree.
