Under general direction, assemble various components to completed assembly according to prescribed sequence, and check completed assemblies to assure proper operation and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Plans assembly procedures, following specifications

Aligns components, and bolts, screws, or rivets them together

Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement

Bends and installs pipe for hydraulic systems

Aligns and meshes gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears

Check completed assemblies to assure proper operations

Visually check parts used in assemblies for obvious defects and disassemble and reassemble finished products as required to correct malfunctions

Maintain accurate records of work performed

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements/ Qualifications Qualifications: Assembler must have skill in assembling metal products, such as valves and actuators. Must have knowledge of methods and procedures of assembling valves; of written instructions; must remember a variety of items in detail. Education and/or Experience: One to three months of related work experience.

Language Skills: Candidate must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction and procedure manuals. They should be able to follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule formats.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts of basic math.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet and Manufacturing software.

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
