Telecare's two 5-bed Residential Treatment Homes in Deschutes County serves consumers with serious mental illness who are ready to transition to community-based living. Referrals will come from the state and Deschutes County.
The Personal Service Coordinator performs a variety of duties such as assisting clients with activities of daily living as needed.
-Provides direct client support and case management services to all residents using Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Recovery principles
-Educates and support residents and their families
-Collaborates with other services and agencies such as the Conservator's Office, Public Defender's Office, Probation Department and County Mental Health Services
-One year of experience working with the severely and persistently mentally ill population and demonstrated ability to perform at a consistently high level is preferred
-High school graduation or a G.E.D. equivalent is required
-Necessary skills include knowledge of psychology or sociology, knowledge of mental illness behaviors and treatment principles of interviewing to acquire information and the ability to interact with other residents of the team, clients, family residents and community services
-Strong communication skills
-Must possess a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and receive a motor vehicle record clearance
-Must have completed first aid and CPR training or obtain certification within four weeks of hire
-Criminal background clearance required
