Main responsibilities include test case planning & execution, test automation, white box, API testing, services level testing, and ad-hoc testing.
This entails creating and maintaining detailed test plans and test scripts for proposed work, refining existing scripts for modularity and automation purposes, estimation and prioritization of work for optimal risk mitigation, submission and follow-through of software defect reports, automating robust, reusable, and efficient use cases and other suitable automation tools.
Additional responsibilities may include reviewing and influencing product specifications, bug triage, and analysis of bug trends and root causes.
5+ years of Software QA experience with a solid understanding of QA methodology and prior experience testing features for web-based service applications; preferably in the financial industry
In depth understanding of QA methodologies and experience implementing automated test harnesses.
Proficient in C++ or Java
Hands on experience automating with Selenium and/or other industry standard tools
Knowledge of general programming techniques is preferred as is detailed hands-on knowledge of Unix and SQL.
Excellent documentation skills writing test plans, test matrices and test cases for complex applications.
Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills
Must be comfortable working with cross-functional teams
Ability to remain flexible in a very dynamic environment.
