Specific Duties and Functions:
• Handles all incoming telephone activity, including answering phones promptly
according to CSI protocol, manages call volume and opens and closes conversations appropriately
• Records messages thoroughly, accurately and legibly and initials messages
• Telephones select participants on scheduled Center days to confirm their attendance
• Notifies the Center Manager and Transportation Manager and/or Transportation Supervisor of all participants non-attendance
for the day
• Monitors all activity and in and out of the center. Supervises the front entrance to ensure no participant leaves the center
• Complies with all CSI specific safety standards including Universal Precautions, Electrical Safety, Infection Control, Fire
Safety and Emergency Procedures
• Prepares a weekly schedule for Team: Team assessments, team discussions, team care plan and enrollments, participant
cancellations, staff off, hospitalizations, appointments and monthly reviews
• Sort mail and distributes to appropriate departments

The Center for Senior Independence (CSI), a leading provider of senior care, is currently recruiting for a receptionist.

At CSI (Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly) we strive to be the most outstanding and innovative senior care facility in Southeast Michigan. CSI is looking to expand to multiple sites within the next 5 years with a goal to service over 1000 eligible seniors. CSI is Medicare and Medicaid dual eligible program. As a managed care capitated program, CSI functions as the insurer and care provider for all patients. Our goal is to help frail seniors continue to live in their own homes with dignity by providing all medical and social services necessary, at our Center and in their own homes. At CSI, we are dedicated to fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion within our quality facilities.

Under the supervision of the Center Manager, The Center for Senior Independence (CSI) Customer Service Representative (CSR) responds to telephone inquiries from Participants, employees and other internal and external customers. The CSR forwards calls to the appropriate departments for follow up.

Must pass post-offer, pre-employment background check and health screening, including drug test, TB and MMR.
