Job description
Join a winning team and help STG Leverage the Lab assist account teams win in the marketplace. The Leverage the Lab program was introduced earlier this year to bring top development skills into pivotal sales engagements to help demonstrate key product differentiators to beat competitors in the field. The Leverage the Lab team is looking for individuals with deep knowledge of at least one STG platform (Modular & Blades, Power, zEnterprise, or System Storage), and a strong network within the brand to help coordinate development resources and match them to appropriate critical sales situations. In this role, you will help define the process for engaging the right development skills needed for short-term customer engagements to help the sales and technical sales teams close sales, develop the infrastructure needed to ensure success of the engagement team, and use your network to find the deep technical skills within the platform development team. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate globally are essential as we extend this program to other geographies.

Key duties and responsibilities:
Define process for identifying appropriate lab resources for sales engagements

Leverage knowledge of development organization and network within the brand to find the needed resources

Manage the engagement process and monitor success

Communicate with effectively with executives to drive awareness of the Leverage the Lab team and its mission

Represent Leverage the Lab with clients and IBM executives

Confidently present ideas and solutions to development resources, clients, and executives

Use product knowledge to solve client business issues

Bring client needs back to development to support "outside-in" design of STG products

Required

Bachelor's Degree

At least 3 years experience in Apply Communication Skills

At least 2 years experience in Perform Program Management

At least 3 years experience in Use Problem Solving Techniques

At least 1 year experience in Analyze Customer Business Environment

At least 2 years experience in Apply Knowledge of Client Requirements

Readiness to travel up to 10%; travelling 1 day a week

U.S. citizenship required

English: Fluent

Preferred

Master's Degree in Information Technology

At least 4 years experience in Apply Communication Skills

At least 4 years experience in Perform Program Management

At least 4 years experience in Use Problem Solving Techniques

At least 2 years experience in Analyze Customer Business Environment

At least 3 years experience in Apply Knowledge of Client Requirements
