Overview:
This course is designed to enhance specific skills related to the career pathway and to teach skills that are necessary for entry-level employment in the industry. In this course, the worksite is considered the classroom. This position has front desk related duties including phone management and greeting and directing visitor. Also provides basic administrative support.

Primary Responsibilities:
Hands on and demonstration, one-on-one guidance, guided practice and independent practice.

Manage the incoming telephone calls and message system.

Maintain the company’s lobby and conference rooms to insure they are orderly condition and present a clean and professional image.

Greet and direct all visitors, including vendors, clients, job candidates and customers.

Distribute all incoming faxes and mail

Assist other administrative staff, as requested, with general administrative tasks such as correspondence, filing, scanning and copying.

Perform other duties as assigned.

There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.

Education/Knowledge and/or Experience:
High school senior

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suites; Excel, Word, Outlook

Demonstrates a good attitude and willingness to learn

Ability to work as a member of a team

Develop and maintain a work ethic necessary for success in the workplace that includes honesty, integrity, dependability, punctuality, self-discipline initiative, and reliability

Understand the need for safe practices in workplaces
