The Cloud Operations Manager will work closely with our infrastructure hosting provider, CTO, QA, development and Cloud operations teams to maintain and deploy the cloud server infrastructure and to ensure performance, uptime, scalability and a positive customer experience for our customers in the cloud.
Cloud computing is seeing rapid adoption from companies of all sizes in the office products, jan/san and industrial distribution industries. These companies are looking to move their ERP applications and workloads into the cloud to realize the cost savings and the functionality benefits provided by these services.
Develop and execute on a vision for delivering the best Cloud Computing solution for our customers
Lead infrastructure and deployment operations teams in meeting our objectives targeting innovation, availability, cost efficiencies and scalability for current and next-generation cloud platforms.
Foster and manage meaningful relationships with Microsoft, the cloud hosting provider(s), and other 3
party vendors offering functions through the cloud offering.
Lead and oversee the management of cloud infrastructure OS patch levels
Lead and oversee application releases to production, pre-prod and testing environments
Resolve all issues and requests promptly, engage the appropriate cross functional team to resolve and escalate as needed
Ensure issues are documented once resolved
Define and execute against performance and operational SLAs that capture infrastructure and application effectiveness and the customer experience
Ensure 24x7x365 operational practices and monitoring to meet the SLAs
Maintain and (where possible) improve supportability of service applications
Track and ensure known application issues reach resolution with QA and development
Develop tools or implement initiatives to improve uptime, maintainability, and user-facing experience
Provide technical support and troubleshoot software application related issues. May also perform installation, configuration, or tuning.
Maintain server and deployment documentation
Establish and follow change management processes during implementations
Ensure growth of tools and techniques to manage global cloud and collocated infrastructure to be able to meet capacity on demand.
Ensure continuous disaster preparedness solutions to ensure continuous operations.

Strong understanding of cloud computing
Deep technical acumen covering systems, storage, network, database, service automation, data centers, and operations management.
Thorough understanding of networking concepts and Internet protocols
Component performance analysis and profiling and capacity planning expertise)
Requires a strong understanding of software architecture and programming principles
Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels
A track record of innovative thinking balanced with a strong customer and quality focus
Bright problem solver who can ensure delivery at scale
Must be able to function independently at an optimum level in a non-structured environment that is undergoing significant growth
Education and Experience
BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 4 years of experience in managing a distributed computing environment
2+ years of experience deploying and supporting 24/7 production web applications
2+ years of experience in administration of Microsoft Dynamics Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software solutions
Experience with the following technologies:
Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009/2012
Windows Systems administration
Networking (DNS, TCP/IP, SSL, DHCP, Load Balancing)
o Programming / scripting (Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, and/or PHP
