Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Faculty Position: West Virginia University, Health Sciences Center – School of Medicine, Charleston Division, Department of Pediatrics seeks board-certified/board eligible hematologist/oncologist, MD or DO, to join the only Children's Oncology Group Full-Member program in West Virginia.
Candidates should be well versed in all aspects of hematology and oncology with ability and interest in becoming the COG Principal Investigator. The section will be staffed by 2 faculty physicians, a nurse practitioner and superb CRA support with available subspecialty support in all critical areas as well as excellent pharmacy and radiological support. The Department is affiliated with Charleston Area Medical Center's Women's and Children's Hospital. The current PI has extensive experience in pediatric cooperative groups and is a member of the COG Executive Committee. The institution has performed well in our two most recent COG audits. We see approximately 25 new oncology patients per year and have a comprehensive hemophilia program as well as interests in other areas of hematology. Responsibilities include patient care, resident and medical student education and clinical research.
