Coordinates and expedites flow of materials to the production floor by reviewing production schedules and other related information. Confers with material transport personnel to ensure material flow to production lines is adequate. Preparation of various materials documents for inbound and outbound freight to and from the production lines. Responsible for cycle counting and keeping an accurate and current inventory for assigned programs. Monitors daily inventory adjustments to ensure accuracy. Assist Materials Manager and advises of potential material shortages. Assist in monitoring issue of materials to ensure first in first out (FIFO) inventory system. Assist in maintaining files with daily warehouse operations. This is a hands on job which includes office and operations areas. Work with Transportation Coordinator to become back-up in shipping materials. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
High School Graduate or GED
Associate Degree in Computer Science or Office Management preferred
Must be able to work efficiently with people up and down the management hierarchy.
Must have good verbal and written communication abilities in order to troubleshoot discrepancies with Vendors, Procurement, and/or Management
Ability to work independently and with a team
Capability of advancing to expanded responsibilities
Three (3) or more years of shipping/receiving warehouse experience;
Proficient in MicroSoft Office applications, especially Excel
Good computer software skills
Knowledge of Oracle or equivalent MRP system
