DUTIES:

Foreign language skills are highly desired. Individuals who speak a foreign language must be capable of communicating complex ideas and concepts in English both orally and in writing, in addition to being proficient in one of the following languages: Arabic, Russian, Chinese, Korean, Farsi, Pashtu, Urdu, Dari, Hindi, Turkish, Tajik, Spanish.

INTELLIGENCE OFFICER (All Disciplines)
Serve among best-in-class professionals on the front lines of the nation's defense, collecting, analyzing and reporting intelligence that ensures a clear understanding of military capabilities and the intentions of foreign governments and non-state entities worldwide. Intelligence Officers research, analyze, and produce a full range of complex all-source intelligence products for policy makers and operators. Analysts coordinate, monitor, and integrate valid intelligence while ensuring timely, comprehensive and accurate responses. Intelligence Officers must identify intelligence gaps, specify collection requirements to fill gaps in information, and evaluate resulting intelligence collected in response to requirements and determine analytical approach.

Interested applicants should have strong research skills to identify, collect and evaluate data, and be able to absorb and synthesize large amounts of information to draw logical, interpretable conclusions; excellent written and oral communication skills; and general knowledge and familiarity with contemporary affairs through education, work experience, reading and/or travel.

COLLECTION
Case Officers provide critical intelligence that supports development and implementation of US security policy. Case Officers operate in diverse environments to meet national requirements and taskings through conduct of source operations and debriefings. Case Officers assess the character and motivations of others to establish strong human relationships and trust. These relationships provide the foundation needed to acquire high-value intelligence from foreign sources. Case Officers employ sound judgment and strong interpersonal skills, and employ cultural, regional, and linguistic expertise.

Highly qualified candidates will have extensive overseas experience; significant positive contact with foreign cultures; strong foreign language skills - preferably in critical languages; a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing; strong interpersonal skills; the ability to think critically; the ability to deal effectively with individuals at all levels - often in
fast-breaking and rapidly changing situations; and will have demonstrated in the prior work
experience of their application the genesis of their interest in becoming a case officer and how their previous experience has prepared them for this career.
