General Summary of Position Responsibility:|
The Transplant Center Data/Quality Control Coordinator functions as a pooled resource to provide analytical and consulting support for the functional areas under the Transplant Center. The quality control coordinator is responsible for coordinating the workflow activities of all junior level data entry personnel within the Transplant Center, including ensuring data integrity and implementing quality assurance measures across the Transplant Center. The quality control coordinator is responsible for gathering, analyzing and reporting the statistical information, patient outcomes and financial performance to both internal and external customers. Additionally, the quality control coordinator is responsible for making recommendations for the implementation of technology required to support the goals of the Transplant Center. The quality control coordinator has budgetary responsibility for transplant procurement.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
Previous experience in information technology/project management.
Must be able to work effectively with cross-functional groups and participate in problem solving processes.
Must be self-motivated with a strong initiative to learn.
Must be able to work on and prioritize many varied projects at one time.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, statistical software such as SPSS and is familiar with HBOC-based hospital systems such as EPIC, EPSI, OTTR, CHIPS and Trendstar. Must be familiar with Crystal Reporting.
